| The PEP
Exam Revised 12/9/2001
The APA College of
Professional Psychology developed the Psychopharmacology Examination for Psychologists (PEP Exam)
as a proficiency examination for psychologists in the area of psychopharmacology. It is expected
that many states, upon awarding prescriptive authority to psychologists, will use the PEP as part
of their required evaluation of competence. It is a required component of the FDU Clinical
Practicum, and will be used as the exit requirement for the Postdoctoral Master of Science Program.
